Back to the Mac

Well, I detoured away from Apple for a few months when financial circumstances necessitated going to a less expensive computer. Now, I am back to the Mac. I really think Windows Vista is getting a little bit of a bad rap these days. When introduced, there were simply too many problems. Peripherals often wouldn’t work [...]

The New iMacs Are Awesome

Forget Windows and especially forget Vista and all of its problems. Apple keeps getting better and better with its Macintosh computer line-up. Actually a pioneer in the computer industry, Mac computers are fluid, intuitive, secure and actually enjoyable to use. You spend less time worrying about configuration and security issues, and more time enjoying your [...]

Do Switchers Now Rule the Mac?

Friday, December 7, 2007 16:38 No Comments

Switchers keep gaining in importance to Apple and that’s easy to see in the company’s advertising campaign during this holiday season. Almost all the stories are aimed at switchers and Windows users: one compares the many Vista SKUs with the single Mac Leopard SKU; another tells Windows users not to give up on Vista; and [...]

Tens of thousands of people are expected to line up this Friday for the most hyped gadget of the decade - the iPhone.
Don’t be one of them.
Oh, it’s a technological marvel. But Apple’s all-in-one handheld isn’t the best cellphone - or even the best iPhone - that will be sold in the next year.

My crystal ball is showing me a Mac stampede

Thursday, April 12, 2007 0:43 No Comments

A frequent commenter made a decidedly pointed observation in my blog recently, responding to a post about a powerful new desktop PC from Apple.
In his typically understated way, O.C. Jones said: “Seems as if you’ve turned into a regular Dr. Mac.”
Of course, Jones was referring to Bob LeVitus, who writes the column about Apple and [...]

Migrating to the Mac Infrastructure

Tuesday, April 10, 2007 10:26 No Comments

Switching to a Mac infrastructure may sound like an expensive proposition for a small-business owner. However, some businesses who have made the change say they made the right choice. The cost savings on security and ease-of-use quickly paid off incurred expenses, they said. Relearning some tasks that operate differently on a Mac may be a [...]

More People Buying Macintosh

Saturday, April 7, 2007 14:11 No Comments

“Walt Mossberg says his Vista startup experience was pretty horrid because of the tons of ads and other things that OEMs load onto the OS. They do that to try to make a few extra bucks on each machine sold. Microsoft can’t stop them because the DOJ made it impossible to push around the OEMs [...]

Apple TV
